She (C.I.B EE&LV CH BH Juniperhill’s Bucanera) made it!
Show year has ended in Finland. In our last show at Saturday Jawa finished as BOS-veteran judged by John Ritchie. This was enough and she won Top Veteran -title after competing just half a year (she celebrated her 8th birthday at June, so we couldn’t start our tour earlier). Special thanks to Jawa’s handler Satu for handling her!
Thanks also to Jawa’s breeder Jaana for trusting this great showgirl to us and all our friends all over the world, who have supported us and given us faith that this might be possible. It was, and it came true!
At HeW-11 show I had a pleasure to handle one of my favourite dog. BH Leaftribe Old Black Joe finished as 3rd Best Male and sealed his 3rd position in Top Collie Male competition. Congrats Linda and thanks so much that you’ve let me to handle this gorgeous collie so often! We make a great team with Blacky!
Congratulations also to other collies, who have made well in Top Collie competitions, especially to Top Rough Collies Ch. Kangasvuokon Spencer and Silverlady’s Destination, Top Rough Veteran Male Ch. Zinnia’s Miami Vice and all Jawa’s beautiful co-rivals. And of course to all our smooth friends!
PS. Don’t remember if I have written this before, but our Ch. Storm Cloud Of Netiv HaAyit finished #2 in Top Veteran Collie Bitch competition in 2010 and received her well-earned diploma in Finnish Collie Association’s annual meeting at November.
Half of our Kerera-litter has now been x-rayed, latest one taking the examination has been Onni (GS Brainpicker). This time we were more than lucky, he also has clear hips (A/A) and elbows (0/0) and is cea-clear. Thanks so much Emmi for taking Onni to x-rays and to Satu for holding my hand while waiting the results! Here’s our statistics now:

I know that our luck won’t last forever, and sooner or later we’ll get worse results, but I’m very happy for every healthy dog! Thank you so much for all the owners of our breeding, you’ve done fantastic job taking such a good care of your dogs!

Ch. Juniperhill’s Bucanera made really well at Jyväskylä double international shows.
At Saturday judged by Dagmar Klein she was BOB-veteran and was shortlisted to final 17 of over 100 beautiful veterans in group competition by Paula Heikkinen-Lehkonen.
At Sunday judged by Giuseppe Alessandra she finished 3rd Best Bitch and BOB-veteran and made her lead in Top Veteran Collie Competition stronger as only 2 shows remain unheld.

Also Turo a.k.a. BH Ghost Story’s Stuntman has competed in obedience again getting another 1st prize from Beginner’s class! We wish all the best to Birgit and Turo to their way to higher classes!
Almost forgot, Kiila a.k.a. Ghost Story’s Eyesmaker finally got his CEA gene test results from Optigen and he is carrier! Special thanks to Marika for testing Kiila!

Our main speciality took place in Helsinki last Sunday, 12th June. Rough bitches were judged by Alan Clarke. Ghost Story’s Dragonera “Onse” (pictured here) was 1EXC in intermediate class and C.I.B EE&LV CH BH Juniperhill’s Bucanera “Jawa” was 2EXC in champion class.
I had the greatest pleasure handling Lola’s grandson Leaftribe Old Black Joe again in speciality show. This was our 4th time together, and here you can see what we have done there:

We’re not unbeatable together, but certainly we make a great team and I’m very proud of him and grateful to Linda that she has let me show him over and over again

Today it happend, a real surprise. Daughter of our beloved Romeo, Juniperhill’s BrillantePiedra, won Finnish Collie Agility Championships. She was the only one of thirteen participants who made clear rounds both in agility and jumping courses (well, bit of extra time on both rounds, but without faults). What makes this unbelievable is that this almost-eight-years-old winner started her agility career just about one year ago and these were her first two runs in highest class. Congrats Jaana and Sari, you’ve made wonderful work with her!! Kira’s younger sister Kuura (Juniperhill’s Choice Of Heart) finished in 4th place.
Kira is also a littersister to our Jawa, C.I.B EE&LV CH BH Juniperhill’s Bucanera. Last summer their litterbrother Riku, Juniperhill’s Bravo Caballero, went on tour with us with stunning results: Pärnu int CC CACIB and Ogre nat CC BOS. Riku has also proved to be capable to compete in obedience. From this litter comes also father of our Kerera-pups, Friby’n Bravo Amor, who hasn’t been showing himself at all after growing up to be a man – hope that we’ll see him in veteran class someday. And three other gentlemen, all unforgettable as they are or were. A litter that makes me proud!
